Musical numbers move fast and involve a lot of people. Written notes alone rarely capture a stage picture with twenty actors, so this sheet leans on diagrams.
It has four ground plan boxes, each with a field for the measure or count, beside numbered blocking lines. Fields at the top note props, costume pieces and anything else needed for the number. Use one sheet per song section, and photograph or sketch formations as they are set.
How to use this template
- 1Write the song or scene and script page at the top.
- 2List props and costume pieces used in this section.
- 3Sketch formations in the ground plan boxes and note the measure or count.
- 4Record individual traffic in the numbered lines.
