Most prompt book advice assumes a right-handed stage manager. If you write with your left hand, mirror the spread so your hand never covers the script.
In a left-handed layout the backing page sits on the left of the spread and the script page on the right. Cues are drawn in the script's left margin, next to the backing page, and blocking notes are recorded on the left. This guide shows the arrangement so you can set up your binder correctly from day one.
How to use this template
- 1Print the script single-sided and hole-punch it.
- 2Insert each backing sheet so it faces its script page on the left.
- 3Draw cue lines in the left-hand margin of the script page.
- 4Number blocking notes on the script and record them on the backing sheet.
