When an actor is out, a single substitution can set off a chain of changes: the understudy leaves their own track, someone covers it, and costumes, props and traffic all shift. The understudy plot maps that chain before the emergency happens.
Each block records who is out, their role, who goes on and which track they move from, then the costume changes, prop changes, blocking and traffic to rehearse, plus notes. Fill out a block for every likely scenario during rehearsals so the team can act quickly on the day.
How to use this template
