Strike is when tired people take apart a set quickly, which makes it one of the riskiest calls of the production. A checklist keeps the work safe, makes sure borrowed items go back and leaves the venue the way you found it.
This checklist groups common strike tasks by area: before strike, scenery, props and costumes, lights and sound, and venue and paperwork. Each task has columns for who is responsible and a check when done, with blank rows in each section for your show's own tasks.
How to use this template
- 1Add show-specific tasks in the blank rows and assign a person to each.
- 2Hold a safety briefing before any work starts.
- 3Tick tasks as they are finished and have section heads confirm their areas.
- 4Do a final walk-through with the venue before releasing the crew.
