Once actors are off book, someone on the stage management team follows the script and notes every deviation. Line notes are given to actors privately so they can fix them before the next run.
Each sheet holds four notes. Tick the type of error (dropped line, dropped words, paraphrased, out of sequence, jumped cue or called for line), note the page and write the correct line in full. Use one sheet per actor so notes can be handed out directly.
How to use this template
- 1Start a fresh sheet for each actor at each run.
- 2Follow the script and tick the type of error as it happens.
- 3Write the page and the correct line exactly as scripted.
- 4Give actors their sheets after the run, or send them with the report.
