The rehearsal report is how the stage manager tells the whole production team what happened in the room and what each department needs to know. It goes out after every rehearsal.
This template records attendance and timing, what was rehearsed and what is next, then gives each department its own notes box: scenery, props, costumes, lights, sound, video, management and other. Write 'no notes, thank you' rather than leaving a box empty, so designers know you checked.
How to use this template
- 1Record the rehearsal number, times, breaks, late arrivals and absences.
- 2Summarize what was worked today and what is planned next.
- 3Write notes under each department, numbering them for easy reference.
- 4Send the report the same evening to the full production team.
